Dean Winchester - The Strengthby ~Petite-Madame

In April 2010, I took part to a group project launched by a LJ community called the Spn Tarot Project (A.k.a The Winchester Arcana, here : [link] ). As you might have guessed, it is a tarot game inspired by the TV show "Supernatural" (CW) and its characters.

I was assigned "The Strength" with Dean Winchester as a character by the mods. I honestly couldn't imagine a better character to embody this Major Arcana. Ok, in Season 5, Dean is a little bit depressed, and not really ready to fight but still, when people piss him off, he's still the good old Dean from Season 1 to 4.

For this fan art, I was inspired by video games like for instance "Resident Evil" and "Silent Hill" particularly when it came to the palette. I wanted a really creepy atmosphere, something dark and confining. As far as the monster is concerned, it had to be organic, scary as if it was coming from the nearest pond to eat and drawn people in their bathtub. As usual, when I draw an illustration for Spn, I had to add some blood in the middle. But now, you know me, I just can't help it
