Hi

Same song, different verse...:steaming:

Once again, a website has stolen three of my works for commercial use. Needless to say I've never given my permission to this:

There's nothing I can do as I don't speak a word or Russian (and I don't think that the website owners won't listen to me anyway). Well, I should say there's nothing WE can do because I am not the only to be the victim of this art thief. If you browse the site, you will also find the works of Euclase, Artmetica and more.

I would like to thank :iconrevolution4u: who has contacted me and tried to do something about it. Thank you very much!!

There are some nations who are completely uninterested in supporting the Berne Convention on Copyright, and which are looking to drive their GDP by means of stealing and pirating whatever they can. Foremost among these are Russia and China. It's quite common knowledge. Digital renderings of works in semi-public forums (like dA) merely make their lives easier. And, yes, there's absolutely nothing that anyone can do, not as long as the nations themselves are uninterested in supporting the law.

So you may as well accept the fact that your work is exposed to that kind of thievery, without much recourse. That's the bad news. The good news is that it means your work is attractive to all sorts of people (well, I suppose that's good news).

You're doing what you need to do: let others know about it. As you become better known as a professional, in France and internationally, galleries will be alerted to the instances where thieves have stolen your work, and will be able to inform their clientele of the provenance of your work that they are featuring. That's absolutely the best thing you can do.

FYI: On DA SatansStar76 has posted "Winchesters' Laundry Day" [link] and is claiming it as their own creation. Apparently this deviant thinks no one else noticed that they left your signature in the lower right hand corner of the drawing. Maybe you can't fix stupid, but I reported them.
